How forward-thinking teams are transforming their phone experience with Ringtime
Across industries, one challenge keeps surfacing: customers reach for the phone when something matters and expect to speak to someone fast. Research shows that the average caller waits 11 minutes before being helped, even though most people are only willing to wait 2 minutes. Yet despite this expectation, 62% of calls to SMEs go unanswered and many are simply recurring questions that could be handled automatically.
This is the experience we want to improve with Ringtime, our AI voice assistant designed so teams never miss a customer or a lead again. The business magazine Trends recently featured our story and explained why organisations are embracing a new, smarter approach to communication.
Voice Agents built for teams who never want to miss a customer or a lead
More than three-quarters of consumers prefer calling over email or chat when they need help. But when lines are busy, staff are on the road, or callers speak a different language, customers are left waiting.
Ringtime puts an end to that. Our AI assistant answers calls instantly in 20+ languages, provides accurate information and handles both incoming and outgoing conversations.
Need to schedule or reschedule an appointment because a technician falls ill? Ringtime takes care of it. Is a question too complex? The assistant transfers the caller to the right person or opens a ticket so nothing gets lost.
What our customers appreciate most
- Every call answered: even during peak hours or outside office time.
- Zero missed leads: every enquiry is captured, logged, and handled.
- Instant multilingual service: ideal for diverse communities and international customers.
- Better planning: Ringtime books and adjusts appointments automatically.
- Clear insights: conversations turn into structured knowledge for support teams.
- Outbound calling included: from customer updates to appointment reminders.
- Always available: whether your team is in the field, in a meeting, or offline.
For example: property managers often receive hundreds of calls when a popular listing goes online. When a property is sold, Ringtime can automatically inform every interested caller.
What’s next for Ringtime?
Ringtime was founded in 2025 by Vincent Theeten and Diederik Syoen. Vincent previously built Cheqroom into a team of 60 people in Ghent and New York, with clients like Netflix, Disney and Amazon. Diederik was marketing manager at Cheqroom and Peripass.
Within weeks, Johan Krijgsman (CEO of Alfabet & ERA Belgium) joined the team as co-founder to drive commercial growth, Simon Esprit stepped in as CTO, and Michiel Vanhaverbeke strengthened the product team. Real estate was the first niche, but demand is growing rapidly from technical installers and HR companies.
Our focus is on the Belgian and European markets: especially property, utilities, building management and technical services. With the ambition to grow three times faster than Cheqroom in its early years.
